Fall in!

If you're in the greater New York area (or even in the not so great parts, for that matter - Perth Amboy, represent!) on Friday, November 20th at 8 of the clock, you should let your floppy, boneless legs carry you to to 92Y Tribeca (which is to say, the year-old downtown branch of the 92nd Street YM-YWHA, or the Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association, in TriBeCa, or the Triangle Below Canal) for "a night of 1000 dummy deaths," hosted by our friends in simulacra The Flying Maciste Brothers of Destructible Man. It should be a fun and informative night of sitting up nice and paying attention, followed by helpless, tear-stained belly laughs and then stuff to think about on the way home. Short of a date with me, you really can't ask much more of a night on the town.

I'll be there, on my best behavior (I know--sorry to disappoint). Hopefully this will help fill the heartbreaking void left by missing out on an Arbo-date ;)

Friday night at the YM/YW Hebrew Association? Um, I guess somebody forgot to remind them that it's Shabbat? I'd love to go but I just don't think it's in the cards for yours truly.
